Extreme TunerFest2002

The L.A. County Fairplex in Pomona, California, was the place to be when Positive Entertainment presented the Extreme TunerFest 2002 Car Show & Automotive Lifestyle Expo in conjunction with the Mazda NHRA Sport Compact World Finals sponsored by Summit Racing and Toyo Tires at the Pomona Raceway. With more than 200 hot Euros on display, a huge vendor's row, dB Drag Racing sponsored by Al & Ed's Autosound, a Lord of the Turntables DJ battle and the Extreme Bikini Jam, there was plenty to see. Add to that the excitement of watching the biggest names in import drag racing go down the quarter mile and it was an event to remember.

Early morning rain and overcast skies didn't stop Euro teams and individuals from filling the venue with fine rides, all hoping to take home their share of cash and prizes in more than 30 classes, including everything from Acura to Volkswagen. Special "Best" awards for engine, paint, interior, undercarriage, graphics, display, team, female and, of course, Best of Show were also hotly contested. The dB Drags had a number of contestants, as did the DJ Battle, with hundreds of spectators cheering on their favorites.
