When it comes to gala automotive events, General Motors is only outdone by themselves. Year after year, GM productions have become more spectacular and the introduction of the first-ever Rollin' 24 Deep: GM All-Car Showdown was no different. A spectacular display of cars and stars provided a forum for 12 celebrities and 12 athletes to showcase their customized GM vehicles red carpet-style.
As each of the vehicles made their way down the simulated red carpet, hosts Shaquille O'Neal and Power 106 FM's very own Fuzzy Fantabulous and Joe Grande got the crowd going as they went over all of the mods on each vehicle. Prior to the beginning of the show, the crowd was treated to a full-on buffet of celebrity appearances, which included Busta Rhymes, Wilmer Valderrama, Michael Clarke Duncan, Brian McKnight, Incubus, Chris Claiborne, Carey Hart, Beverley Mitchell and many more.
Bryon Russell took home the Best in Overall Show, while Frankie Muniz took the Best Interior category. But big rims and bling weren't the only way to go as Snoop and Bishop "The Magic" Juan brought back old school flavor with an assortment of flavors like Lifesavers. Snoop brought out two of his vehicles, the Cadillac "Snoop DeVille" as well as his "Magic" Pontiac Parisienne, which were both built by L.A. car customizer "Slice."
On the flipside, Bishop's green Cadillac providing a striking comparison as his trademark green motif worked its way off the paint of his car and onto his matching twin-colored outfit. Complete with pimp cup and diamond-studded star glasses, the Bishop was back and putting in the work necessary to let the people know that he's "on a mission from God," a quote which is on his driver's side door.
Other highlights of the show included Adrien Brody's Hummer H2 fitted with a huge set of 28-inch wheels by TIS. The wheels dwarfed the truck's appearance and was only matched in size by one other truck which happened to be owned by "The Big Diesel" himself. Shaq's truck was actually parked inside the show and sported 28-inch Lexani wheels.
The most dazzling exterior entry in into the event was by Chris Claiborne of the Minnesota Vikings. His Mercedes blue Hummer electrified the night as it made its way down the automotive red carpet. Equipped with a set of 25-inch Giovanna Bragg wheels, his vehicle was even more unique in the fact that this rim and tire combo is currently only available from Giovanna and Pirelli. The 25-inch Pirelli Scorpion Zero tire is the largest and only load-rated tire available for the Hummer.
