At the young age of 28, Armando Aldape of Pacoima, California, has recently unveiled his latest creation, "Rebel's Revenge," which has already grabbed a First Place trophy at last March's Lowrider Magazine Fontana, California, car show. For most people, customizing a car can be limited by their cash supply, but for Armando, his profession is in bodywork, so the sky's the limit! Armando is the main man at San Fernando Auto Craft in Arleta, California.
In just one year, Armando has turned his '93 Honda Civic hatchback into a full-custom street machine. Although it looks complete, and seems that customizing it any more would be impossible, Armando says that he's not done yet. Paint & Body Mods:
When it came time for the body modifications, the "rebel" himself did all of the work. Armando added wing doors, 3-D flames, molded body kit, molded quarter panel vents, Frenched-in antennas and a molded skeleton figure on the rear hatch. San Fernando Auto Craft in Arleta, California, added a yellow pearl and candy cobalt blue paint scheme.
Interior:
With big thanks to Alfonso's Upholstery in North Hollywood, California, a clean and mean vinyl material was stitched up over the Matrix race seats, along with a custom painted dashboard, Indiglo instrument panel, flamed-up door panels, 3-D flames upon the ceiling, and a Momo steering wheel.
Performance:
Armando added some of the best, including a Matrix intake, chrome valve cover and heat shield, and a Revolution exhaust
Audio/Video:
Adding to the bump in the trunk, are Kenwood tweeters and Punch 12-inch woofers.
Rims & Rubber:
Complementing the ride well is the selected set of 17-inch Falken tires wrapped around 5-Zigen black chrome wheels.
Suspension:
Air cylinders were added for the up-and-down motion, powered by two Viair compressors and two chrome 6-gallon tanks.
