SEMA Show 2002
A sneak peek at what's hot for 2002.

"Driving the Global Aftermarket!" was the title of the 2001 SEMA Show featuring the International Tire Expo, presented last November by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) and the Tire Association of North America (TANA) at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Held to introduce all of the new automotive aftermarket performance parts, custom accessories, tires, wheels, tools and equipment for 2002, it was actually two shows in one.

With virtually every major manufacturer on hand, the show also gave us a rare opportunity to talk one-on-one with the designers and engineers responsible for creating new products and relay your questions and comments to them directly. Manufacturer of Show, General Motors, wowed the crowd as well with a huge display filled with a number of Detroit delights all done up Euro-style.

Of course, we spotted tons of new and improved products at the show. We've put together a small sampling of the many products we saw, to give you an idea of what's coming. We'll be featuring more of the latest Euro accessories each issue in our "New Products" department, so watch for them. For now, here's a sneak peek at what's hot for the future, with names and numbers for more information.

If you're involved in the automotive market and are interested in attending the 2002 SEMA Show, it will be held November 5-8, 2002. You should also consider joining SEMA; there are numerous member benefits.

For membership information contact SEMA by e-mail at: member@sema.org or by phone at (909) 396-0289, ext. 172.
